Peter Murphy did well with his own solo career and has a large cult following, but is best known for singing in Bauhaus, a classic goth rock band of the early 80s. Bauhaus broke up in 1983. Murphy started a band called Dalis Carwith Mick Karnfrom Japan(the band), who did one album in 1984. They broke up shortly after the release. Murphy then started his solo career.
